{"id":942,"date":"2021-05-03T11:47:13","date_gmt":"2021-05-03T01:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/melyien.com\/blog\/?p=942"},"modified":"2021-05-04T11:29:07","modified_gmt":"2021-05-04T01:29:07","slug":"mental-capacity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/melyien.com\/blog\/2021\/05\/03\/mental-capacity\/","title":{"rendered":"Mental Capacity"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Mental capacity was never meant to be static. <br \/>Depending on circumstances, <br \/>our mental capacity expands and shrinks. <br \/>I did not know this. <br \/>It completely opened up my world. <br \/>As someone who enjoyed being proactive, <br \/>my mental capacity shrunk drastically for the first time in my life. <br \/>When I tried to push myself past it, <br \/>I would end up feeling frustrated. <br \/>It was a relentless cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fast forward a season onwards and thankfully things have gotten much better. <br \/>Somehow only a few of my close friends notice that. <br \/>It\u2019s amazing because energy really doesn\u2019t lie.<br \/><br \/>I have not returned to its former glory.<br \/>For a moment, I was upset but why should I disregard all my progress? <br \/>I\u2019m still trying to navigate this journey we call life.<br \/><br \/>I\u2019m not where I want to be yet but the good news is I\u2019m not where I used to be. <br \/>I don\u2019t have to see the finish line. <br \/>I just have to keep going. <br \/>One step at a time. <br \/>One day at a time.<br \/><br \/>I probably have a lot that I need\/want to do but unable to. <br \/>That\u2019s OKAY! <br \/>My mental capacity has probably shrunken. <br \/>Acknowledge and respect it by being kind and patient with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I got this!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mental capacity was never meant to be static.
